    Anti communism feelings called red scare prevailed in America. American ideologies contradict to the communist ideologies and hostile nature continued between the two nations.

    Explanation:

    During the time of depression Americans felt that their capitalistic way of life is subdued and hindered. Economy came to a standstill due to the Great depression. New deal increased the government intervention in communal welfare which marked to be an end to the capitalism that prevailed in America.

    It was also the time of red scare wherein united states sensed that communist party sympathizers existed in america. People were scared that communist ideologies would get spread in their country too.

    Soviet which was a communist country often quoted that socialism is the first step towards adopting communism. Roosevelt policies seemed to be similar to socialistic policies and people felt that those policies had an impact of communism in its which hindered Roosevelt in implementing certain policies.
