What does "separation of powers" mean?

Government is divided into three branches.

People are born with rights that cannot be taken away.

Government may rule because the citizens consent.

People have the right to life, liberty, and property.

    The government divided into three branches. Think of it as splitting a cake in 3 slices separate but equal that's how the branches of government are separate but equal
