    Mombasa was the trading Kingdom that connected Africa and the Indian ocean trade routes.

    Explanation:

    The east African coast provided a harbor and a cost as a marketplace, that linked merchants from the interior of Africa to those from the Indian Ocean trade routes. Mombasa is centarally located along the east African coast and has a habor that since acient times have seved as the gateway to East Africa and Africa as a whole. This is where exchange of goods would occur between the locally sourced goods including, slaves, gold and the Indian ocean merchants who brought ram and other goods in exchange of this.
