    Covalent and ionic/electrovalent are the two type of chemical bonds that unite atoms to form compounds.

    Explanation:

    An atom is made up of three particles. 1. electron 2. protons 3. Neutrons. Of these, protons and neutrons are found in the "nucleus of the atom", the nucleus is the central part of the atom.

    Where there is a "positive charge" on the proton, the "negative charge" on the electron and the neutron are chargeless that is, there is no charge on the neutron. An atom usually has the "same number" of protons and electrons.
