Suleiman I was the longest-reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. He ruled from 1520 until his death in 1566. He was one of the most prominent rulers of the time, and under his rule, the Ottoman Empire rules from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea and through the Persian Gulf.

The main methods that Suleiman chose in order to gain, consolidate and maintain power were those related to education. Suleiman created Islamic law in order to unify the people of the empire. He also established Islamic schools for boys. Finally, Suleiman was able to remove corrupt politicians from power. These methods are similar to those of other empires, as they contribute to the stability and continuity of the civilization.
