This speech is from Jacques Bénigne Bossuet, an 18th-century French bishop. According to him, a Prince is ONLY a God's representant on Earth, and because of that, a single man with this power was a grandeur honor. Most important, however, is the political inclination of Bousset. When we look at this speech, we see an alignment with the Absolutism.
