People's faces provide lots of information for us, such as expressing emotion. Our brains have a specialized area, located near the primary visual cortex, for recognizing and identifying faces. What is this area called?

    Occipital face area and fusiform face area

    Explanation:

    These two areas are the two face recognition holistic approach. These areas can recognize the family's face as well as an unfamiliar face. Activity in the occipital face area and fusiform area, however, are not related to the recognition of the objects. Hence it is argued that the face recognition area is different from the object recognition area. Face recognition is one of the most important perception skills that includes face recognition area, fusiform area, and amygdala. These are the area that is responsible for recognizing the face and thousands of faces. Human face perception depends on specific features such as eyes, nose, and mouth and perceiving the spatial arrangement of these features.
