Explanation: The ability to make decisions when presented with two or more options is known as choice. The major questions of the choice an individual makes all boil down to why we make the decisions, what motivates those decisions and what needs those decisions are meant to satisfy.

Making a choice is therefore a cognitive process of identifying and choosing alternatives based on the values, preferences and beliefs of each individual. The common denominator with the three individuals (Harry, Harvey and Horace) above is the fact that their respective choices are made of their own free will, reflecting their personal values.
