Why did the Framers draft a constitution for a new national government rather than work on amending the Articles of Confederation?

    Explanation:

    There were continuous efforts throughout the 1780s to amend the article of Confederation. But the problem was that the procedure to amend the Article of Confederation needed unanimous agreement of each state. Therefore, framers proposed to revise the Article of confederation instead of amending it.
