The submission to the authority of God which requires everyone to obey the divine law. A priest has to obey his bishop or religious superior as representatives of God, and all must obey the ecclesiastical law.

    Obedience can be defined as the total submission to the authority of another or being totally compliant with an order. Hence as priest submit to the authority of the bishop or religious head and all submits to the authority of God which demands us to obey the divine law also known as the ecclesisatical law, this practice is known as Obedience.
