    Laprade, the chief architect of Morocco:

    Laprade was chief architect of Civilian Buildings and National Palaces (BCPN) from 1932 to 1960. He was the draftsman and an architect who was instrumental in raising beautiful structures in Morocco.

    He was born in Buzançais in the year 1883 and was groomed in planning and development of infrastructures. He was well known for his work, construction of palaces of Fez and Marrakech.

    From the year 1932 to 1960 he was the chief architect of Civilian Buildings and National Palaces of Morocco. During his period he carried out many urban renewal projects and most important industrial and commercial works. In the year 1932 he was entrusted with the job of General Inspector of Art Education.

    He was always remembered for his architectural wonder creation of Palais de la Porte Dorée.
