With the advancements in technology, the time we spend traveling has increased as we have started traveling more often than we did before.

Explanation:

As traveling has become fast and comfortable, more people have started to prefer traveling to distant places for various purposes. Though traveling has become faster than before, the fact that we are traveling more than before has actually increased the time we spend traveling. This can be regarded to the increased convenience of traveling that is now dispensed by the newest technologies.
