Wo observers observe a child in the classroom every 30 minutes to record whether he is behaving aggressively. They use two categories for their observations: yes (aggressive) or no (not aggressive). Using the data presented below, answer the following question.

Oberver 1 Observer 2

Obervation 1 yes yes

Obervation 2 yes no

Obervation 3 no no

Obervation 4 no yes

Obervation 5 yes no

Obervation 6 yes yes

Obervation 7 yes no

Obervation 8 no no

Obervation 9 yes yes

Obervation 10 no yes

    a. To calculate the report, the only observation that is valid and accurate, are observation 1, 3, 6, 8,9. Because in this observation, the two observed answers are the same for the student, therefore our calculation, to be accurate, we should only use this observations that are the same to calculate.

Observation 1,6,9 which was YES for the two observers

Observation 3 and 8 which was No for the two observers.

This means that from the observation we can term valid, the number of YES is greater than the number of NO.

That means the child is aggressive. Though the research has so much error in the reliability of the observation.

    b. The observation does not demonstrate inter observers reliability, because their records in an observation are not the same, that means a specific method to record the childs answer of YES or NO was not defined, and this made the research to have more, error.

We can't tell the result in observation 2,4,5,7,10 because those observation contradict each other, and this has limited the acceptance of the result of this observational research,
