    The biggest achievement of ancient Mesopotamia was the development of a system of writing. They were the first to introduce cuneiform system of writing, wheel and chariots and build cities.

    Explanation:

    They were the first to build cities in the world. They were also the first to enact the comprehensive legal code. they also invented the wheel and the chariot. Mathematics and astronomy flourished during the Mesopotamian civilization. These people were the first to discover the concept of school and library. Sumerians and Babylonians were the first to observe the planetary movements and discovered the effects of it on humans.

    They were the first to discover the three constellations called Sagittarius, Capricorn and Leo. Ur-Nam law code was the first written law code during Mesopotamian civilization. They invented the concept of time and the clock system. They were also the first to discover a strong monarchical form of government. Sun dried bricks were used to build cities and the ancient people paid taxes to the king for the development of urban areas.
