The one could be considered an opportunity cost of taking the job as a farm laborer is the free time that comes from being a counselor. So, Jake actually traded his free time for the better pay as a farm laborer, where the work is more demanding and he would get less off time.

Opportunity cost of working as Farm Labourer = Job as Camp Counselor, Extra time lost while working as a Labourer

    Explanation:

Opportunity Cost is the cost of next best alternative foregone while choosing an alternative. It might be in quantitative monetary terms, also in qualitative terms. Ex - Going on a solo trip, opportunity cost is the money earnings lost from work offs & time that could have been spent with family.

Jake has two job options : Farm Labourer or Camp Counselor; where Farm labourer salary payment is more but time commitment is also more.

So, Working as Farm labourer has opportunity cost as the next best option available i. e Camp Counselor job. It also has opportunity cost as the extra time sacrifised, based on fact that labourer job is more time demanding.
