    Explanation:

    After the Civil War, a lot of places were damaged severely. Thus the president of America at that time Lincoln started a movement called Reconstruction. But he was assassinated by some southerners and Andrew Johnson he vice president at that time took the presidency.

    He provided the pardon to all the people except some government and military officers. He had his 3 goals of own in the reconstruction process. The first one is to restore the damaged places ghastly. Second is to provide the white southerners and planters to create their own states.

    Since he thought states will provide power to the elections that decide who should vote. Also, slaves were also bounded with their previous owners so they might direct them to vote. The third idea is to restore the voting rights and civil rights for the African American peoples.
