Kim is a 17-year-old single mom who takes high school classes online to complete her degree. When completed, her GPA will be 3.5. Kim must also take care of her infant son, Kanye, while living with her parents, who also assist her with him. She works 20 hours a week to pay for some of the expenses and never has time to herself. Prior to her unplanned pregnancy, Kim expected to go to college full time. Now, everything is on hold and she feels she is in a hopeless situation, has become frustrated, and started selling pot for greater financial means in order to attend college full time. This is also promoted by the fact that people might have lost what is considered positively values stimuli such as romantic partners and employment.,

    Some people may find it hard to deal with these stressors and decide to engage into criminal activities as the way of coping or achieving these goals.

    Kim has failed to achieve a social values goal which is going to college as a result she felt there is no other way but to engage into criminal activity as a means towards this goal.
