    Explanation:

    Freud claimed that his psychoanalytic theory is scientifically valid but critics don't agree to the same. Freud developed his theory based on the data he obtained from treating emotionally disturbed people.

    There isn't any proof to assert that psychoanalysis is better than other methods of psychotherapy such as assertive training and systematic desensitization. It is said that his postulates were derived by incorrect facts and misinterpreted scientific data which cannot be proved or backed up by science.
