The Olmecs civilization may be one of the first civilizations in the western hemisphere to develop a writing system with symbols and glyphs. So the correct answer for this question will be option "c". They developed a system of hieroglyphs.

This civilization developed in San Lorenzo Tenochtitlan near the coast in southeast Veracruz. They did a lot of stone carving and the meaning of the word "Olmecs" is composed of the words "ōlli" that means rubber in Nahuatl language and "mēcatl" that means "people" meaning that they were people who practice the antience old rubber ball game.
