Kids use scripts and learn there is more than one way to solve a problem.

    Explanation:

When facing something that they're not familiar with, the kids usually relies on their observation and senses. They observe what the adults do to handle the unfamiliarity or they tried to solve it themselves and rely on their senses. Regardless of the method that they choose, they will form a script in their head.

In psychology, Script is a standard of behavior that we automatically think of when we face a certain situation. The learning process + experiences that the kids face will form a script that they can use as some sort of blueprint that they'll use to handle similar situations in the future.
