Values show the type of behaviour that a society considered as good and acceptable and those that are considered bad and unacceptable. People do not have the same values, they do not admire or cherish the same thing. This is because every individual acquires his or her own value over a period of time. The sources from where individuals acquire values includes the family, age, peer group, religious bodies like church and mosque, schools, norms and culture of the society, social, political and professional associations, radio and television.

    The values acquired by individuals are manifested in their day to day interaction, behaviour and activities. The way an individual behaves or react to things at home, in the school or in the society will show his or her values. The level at which individuals manifest values differ from one person to another. People are not the same in the way they manifest the values of obedience, honesty, hard work, fair play, faithfulness, justice, and discpline.
