For the solitary primates males remain around 90% of their time alone, while females coexist for years with their young children. Once the mating season culminates, males move away from the female and do not participate in the breeding.

    Explanation:

There is no established social hierarchy, but males with calluses on the cheeks usually impose themselves and show greater dominance to those who do not. Among dominant males there is no good relationship, but between a dominant and a young one there is a certain level of tolerance.

The orangutan is not characterized as an aggressive species in general; neither among them nor towards the human beings or other organisms of their habitat, but they carry out threatening movements and thunderous vocalizations when they wish to scare away an intruder.

They do not use as many tools as when they remain in captivity, but wild orangutans have been observed to use leaves to cover themselves with rainwater, to clean the face or even to place them in the mouth and emit deceptive sounds to predators. They also use the use of thin wooden sticks for personal hygiene.
