a) 4x - 3 = 2x + 7

    4x-2x=7+3 (collect like terms, calculate the sum)

    2x=10 (divide both sides by 2x)

    so therefore x=5

    If you add 3 to both sides you get 4 and if you subtract 2x from both side you get 2x and so basically yk u have to divide. So, now you divide 2x by 4 and you get 2.
