1. Describe in detail the police "Mission" in today's world. Is this mission consistent with what you see by law enforcement agencies in their advertised "Mission Statements"? Is it consistent with your perception of police performance? 2. The police have been described as a para-military organization. Is this is an accurate description? Why, why not?

    This mission of police in today's world is to ensure safety for people living within a Geo-political region or state at every time.

    This is consistent with most mission statement of police as they usually work towards ensuring that lives are kept from danger or minimize the effect of danger on the community.

    2. Para-military is a correct description for police because they perform similar tasks (safety and protection), training and ranks.

    Explanation:

    Mission of every country's police is to consistently fight for the peace of the region or nation been assigned to.

    Police wears similar uniform with solders, goes through trainings, carries guns, fight terrorism and war in some cases. With these police can be seen or described as para-military.
