An adolescent is told that a person riding the bus is reading the New York Times. The adolescent is asked if the person is more likely to have no college degree or if the person is more likely to have a Ph. D. The adolescent responds that the person is more likely to have a Ph. D. The correct answer is no college degree.

    From the example above,

    The adolescent assume that the reader of the new york time has a Ph. D. This conclusion is most likely created because of New York Times' reputation as a news sources, making that adolescent think that the people who read it are most likely to be college educated.

    But that adolescent teen fail to ignore that basically any body can pay a couple of dollar to buy the paper and read it. Whether they have a college degree or not.
