The answer is True

Social Identity seeks to understand which psychological aspects unite a group and what makes it recognized as such by others. However, these groups of belonging are not small, but on a large scale, for example the identification between individuals and a nation, race or religion. Groups that can be influenced by interpersonal relationships, but that do not seem to develop from the interpersonal cohesion of those relationships.

So that people that have some kind of disability would like to be close to people who have the same or different disabilities, but who know the life experiences that person also has, so from that the person's social cycle is formed.
