Partisan elections involve party in recognizing candidates, allocating professional staff and holding positions on issues regarding immediate concern to voters. They take responsibility to balance interactions between party workers, candidates or representatives and voters. Although many cities opt for mayors and members of city council through non-partisan elections where no affiliation party involved.
