Its maximum discharge at at Harding Bridge, Bangladesh with 70,000 m³/s. Total distance of The Ganges is 2,601 km from the Gangotri Glacier to Bay of Bengal. Therefore, river the Ganga is very important to the people of India and Bangladesh because the people living on its banks use it for their daily need like as bathing and agriculture and fishing
