The best answer to the question: Jonah lives in Los Angeles and Ryan lives in a rural part of California. Which of these boys is statistically more likely to develop conduct disorder, or oppositional defiant disorder? would be: Jonah, because of his exposure to city living, is statistically more prone towards either conduct disorder and oppositional defiant disorder, than Ryan.

    Explanation:

In accordande with the DSM, conduct disorder is a very serious mental condition in which a person assumes positions and a behavior of constant, aggressive transgressions, and total disregard for any and all social norms. These people tend to be highly aggressive and can show criminal tendencies, even from a very young age. In a less severe level, but still a pretty serious condition, lies oppositional defiant disorder. In this case, the only difference with conduct disorder is the absence of criminal tendencies, but they do tend to be very hostile and aggressive. According also to the information found, one of the contributors to both of these conditions is the exposure to city living, especially in parts of depressed socioeconomic conditions, or where there might be overcrowding and abuse. Given this social factor, Jonah is more prone statistically than Ryan, who lives in not just a rural part, but also one where economic conditions are better, or at least less stressful than in Los Angeles.
