Explanation:

Mountain weather conditions can change dramatically from one hour to the next. They receive more rainfall than low lying areas because the temperature on top of mountains is lower than the temperature at sea level. winds carry moist air when air reaches the mountains it rises and becomes cool and because of which there is precipitation (rain) in the mountainous areas and the weather varies increasingly.

Areas near the equator are dry and the moisture in the air is less. In places near the equator the sun's rays are almost directly over head thus keeping temperature high.
