Signal detection theory

Explanation:

The signal detection theory is basically about the threshold of a stimulus. The threshold level depends on the intensity of a stimulus and the physical or psychological capacity of an individual. Most of the time we pay attention to those things that are strong and attractive. A threshold is a level of minimum value that a person can not detect. Many of the psychologists were interested in measuring our sensitivity from the beginning. Some people easily hear faint noises but some people are not able to hear that noise that results in the inconsistency of the level of threshold level.
