Mainstream American culture is largely based on the traditions of another countries cultures, for example, European traditons and customs. After all, American was once a british colony, so it is normal that some details here and there can remain on american's culture nowadays. Maybe it could be present on some mannerisms when talking, symbols, trends, fashion, beliefs and values.
