    Benjamin Franklin.

    Explanation:

Initial views of Benjamin Franklin over the African Americans include that these people were inferior and therefore could not be educated. His changing views were evident from his writing when he wrote in 1763 that African deficiencies and ignorance were not natural but were the result of a lack of education, slavery, and negative environments. In 1787, he became President of the Pennsylvania Society and in 1790, wrote a petition to Congress and for the abolition of slavery.
