African Americans whether free or slaves shall not be considered as citizens of America. This was the final ruling given by Supreme court in the Dred Scott case.

    Explanation:

it is the landmark decision given by the supreme court which had widened the gap between the northerners and southerners and lead America to civil war. Dred Scott claimed for his freedom as he was taken to the free state which became the base of his case.

If I were a plantation owner holding many slaves, I would have asked my slaves to work for me rather than putting their efforts to gain freedom. Because slave owners are free labors who work in plantations under hazardous conditions and I don't want to lose them.
