When a researcher is surveying the quality of life for the prisoners who are HIV positive, the Institutional Review Board or the IRB, who is responsible for the protection of rights of any research subjects, must ensure that the research done on the health and quality of life of the prisoner must be maintained confidential and also the informational details of the prisoners should not be disclosed in the research work.
