Dewey rejects the Christian purpose for schooling, which is to serve and love God. When evaluated from a Christian perspective, Dewey's progressivism falls short due to its refusal to promote the Christian ideal of serving and loving God. Dewey's purpose for schooling is to promote a democratic state. In your opinion, what should be the purpose of schooling?

    Schooling should be a learning process associated with school, family and social backgrounds.

    Schooling is one that happens at the formal level, within the school institution. The school is an important institution that assists in social development, improving skills and competences of individuals. It also plays a key role in shaping knowledge, values and behaviors. Through school education, the subject establishes relationships and understands the form of organization of the society in which he is inserted. In the school environment, education is planned and therefore formal.
