Perception was focused on visual perception explained by the phenomenon of illusion, phi phenomenon, etc. In the old assumption part to be connected and then the assumption was created but in gestalt psychology, they give importance to the whole part rather than sub-parts. Wertheimer, Kohler, and Koffa were gestalt psychologists. Gestalt principle was later applied for motivation, social psychology, and personality.
