    Like any other matter on Earth, water too obeys the laws of physics. Fresher water is comparatively lighter than the saltier water. The more the amount of salt in water more is the weight of the water. As the saltier water is heavier than the fresher water, it automatically slips below the fresher water which is light in weight. This is why the water at the bottoms of the oceans is more saline.
