In her day-to-day responsibilities, Maggie has to deal with dozens of top executives, managers, and other co-workers. This morning, she had a bad experience with one of those co-workers when he barked at her for not supplying him with a report quickly enough. Rather than bark back, Maggie smiled, kept her composure, quickly printed the report, and delivered it to his desk. She did this because she wants to treat all of her co-workers in the same manner that she wants them to treat her, with courtesy and respect. Which of the following principles is Maggie adhering to?

Maggie is following the principle off the golden rule by treating nicely everyone because she wants them to treat her in the same way.

    Explanation:

The golden rule is a principle observed in Catholicism, Buddhism, Judaism, and almost the majority of the religions. It has been identified strongly in Buddhism and Confucianism. Back to early 480s BC. The concept of the golden principle has been found even in the table of Hammurabi dating 1790 BC. And is a very ethic and moral concept that emerges almost in all societies.

It is formerly identified as the principle of reciprocity and proposes to treat others like you would be treated, don't treat others in ways you wouldn't like to be treated and finally that everything you wish upon somebody you have to wish it for yourself. In that way, you won't perform any harm.
