One of the results of the Industrial Revolution was a separation of the home and the workplace. Once cloth could be produced in a factory, rather than at home, Americans went to work away from their farms. What sorts of implications did this have on society?

    The following are the implications that the separation of working individuals from home due to the industrial revolution had on contemporary society:

    The families became shorter owing to the separation of the working individuals from their elders. People started putting due emphasis on family planning as the trend of keeping the families short began. Working individuals began shifting to urban areas along with their partners leaving the elders behind to live alone. The levels of affinity that the working individuals had towards their parents dipped substantially.
