    Answer:D) accommodation

    Explanation:

Accommodation is a term developed by psychologist Jean Piaget to define how we modify our existing knowledge as we learn new information.

Instead of eliminating the existing Information we adjust our schemas to accomodate what we have just learnt. Schemas refer to how we organise knowledge into patterns as we learn it.

For example a child learns what a bus is but may also refer to a train as a bus, when this child is told that this isn't a bus, she or he will modify the information he already had to understand what is a train, she or he will take note of the differences between the two in order to accomodate this new information.
