    It has enabled voters to participate more actively.

    Explanation:

    Before the creation of the internet, Television and newspaper is the only way candidates could communicate with the voters. Since it is almost no way for voters to give feedback to the political candidates, voter participation were somewhat passive.

    The creation of the internet changed this.

    Now voters could directly communicate with the candidates through social media. They are also able to engage in open communication with other voters through forum or blogs. Sharing information that relevant to our politics.
