i really love these questions there could be many reasons why it impacted the civilization! im going to pt my answer below

    Explanation:

Religion is needed in a civilization, so that the people have something to follow for based on what they believe. People usually believe in a god or gods. They gave up certain materials for their beliefs and they did certain practices. A government was important for keeping the civilization running smoothly

Religions have shaped many civilizations for years. A religion can shape the government and how it runs. For example, if the civilization believes in a god, they might have a king. The god "chose" the king to rule everyone. Religion also shapes society. In a caste system, Hinduism, you are born into your cast. Based on your family, wealth, you can be in the higher or lower classes. Religion shapes punishment as well. Some religions believe you should be punished in different ways. Different holidays are made for different religions. For example, Christians celebrate Christmas, or how Jews celebrate Yom Kippur.

    Hope this gives enough info.
