    I think that option (b) is closer to the truth because the job of psychologists is to concentrate on studying the emotional, mental, and behavioral characteristics of people, instead of concentrating on neuroanatomy which should be the focus of neuroanatomists, physicians or doctors. Option (b) is not closer to the truth because, even though psychological research relates psychological phenomena to the anatomy of neural circuits, physiological research still goes beyond this, and includes other strong factors related to psychological phenomena such as background/parental upbringing, environment, education, socioeconomic conditions, etc.
