Alex and Reese are neighbors. They have a fence between their properties, which Alex built. Reese's property has many trees. During a storm, one of Reese's trees falls, breaking Alex's fence. Alex wants Reese to pay for a new fence. Reese refuses, saying it was an accident. Reese also says that under their local laws, the fence is Alex's responsibility. Alex decides to take Reese to court to settle the dispute.
