    The Occupy movement is best explained by Marx's conflict theory. As the Occupy movement is based on the views that a certain group has benefited at the expense of the other, conflict must happen for change to occur.

    Explanation:

    Durkheim was a functionalist. He believed that society was better served by the collective efforts of its individuals in cohesion, all working together for the greater good of the society as a whole. The Occupy movement is against his arguments as it involves some members of a society to disrupt social order through force on other members of the society.
