The A-Not-B error which is also described as a "perseverative error", refers to a form of error seen in infants before the age of one year that is characterized by an error in mental perception of objects. This could be better understood by understanding perseverative error which is the continued recurrence of an error, such as continuing to call a circle a square even after being corrected or repeating same answer to a series of different questions.
