    c. forced assimilation

    Explanation:

Forced assimilation is the practice of absorbing the ethnic minority groups by a dominant force by forcing them to adopt their language, norms, values, customs traditions, etc. The practice of forced assimilation was used in the United States when native Indians were forced to lose their tribal culture to adopt the so-called superior Western culture which they considered more civilized. When the attempts to dispose the native Indian was criticized a new method of forced assimilation was used to expand its domain.
