    B) a lack of natural resources.

    Explanation:

Japan has a problem with having too few natural resources.

They have very little farmland and the fertile soil which is why they have agricultural problems. They have limited domestic resources of energy and oil, which is why they are busying oil from the Middle East, spending loads of money on it There is a lack of resources of coal, iron, and copper as well There is a shortage of petrochemicals and aluminum because of the lack of energy resources.

Among the few natural resources that Japan has are oceans and forests, and the economy nowadays tries to focus on those in order to better the standard.
