Stereotype is defined as: A preconceived evaluative attitude based on a person's social group membership. An overgeneralized belief that a category of people are alike. A behavior or action that occurs when we treat people differently because of their membership in some group. An unearned advantage that gives those who have it economic, social, or political power.

    A stereotype is a phenomenon which includes a belief about a certain group of people. It is a generalized type of view. The Generalized view is made and assumed to be true for each belonging to that particular category. One of the major reason which gives birth to prejudice is stereotyping. Often stereotyping leads to building a negative impact on the people.
